Vihaan Mathur is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia. At school, he is an active member of Ethics Bowl and Model UN. He has also founded an youth public speaking initiative called Speak to Empower and he is also part of Youth Climate Action Team. He also loves continuously checking the News app to be the first to know about current events. He hopes Lenses will help him further his passion for advocacy and world issues and is excited to be part of an initiative that values the voices of Gen Z.
Simar Narula is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School. As a strong leader and focused learner, she has a passion for STEM, writing, and helping others. She is an active participant in her school’s Model United Nations and also a part of her schools' Cancer Research Society. Simar is also a passionate advocate for change and is constantly supporting causes related to mental health, the fight for equality, and other humanitarian issues. She believes that everyone’s voice should be heard and hopes that through Lenses, she is able to help spread that message.
Nirja Divekar is a junior at Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology in Virginia. With a great interest in biology, Nirja is a member of Medical Society and Neuroscience society. . She works with younger students as a science and spanish tutor and she strongly believes in the right for teenagers to express their opinions on controversial and global matters, a goal that Lenses has aimed to achieve. Nirja hopes that she can bring awareness to student journalism and bring a new perspective to world affairs.
